I wash the Everglades van after every tour. So when I went to pick it up at
Flamingo Gardens in Davie, Fl for the next day's tour I noticed brown streaks running down the sides. I cleaned it, went out on tour and returned the van after washing it.
The next morning I arrived at Flamingo Gardens just before dawn and found the same brown streaks. I also found the locals roosting on top of the van - becoming my number one suspect in the fouling of the sides of the van.
They're beautiful. So I'll forgive them. Especially this cute little Peacock chick.
I hope you would also had forgiven them if they would have been muscovy ducks
ReplyDeleteThat's a tough call.
ReplyDeleteHence the expression, "Oh, crap!"
ReplyDeleteAnd can anyone really forgive a Muscovy duck?
Jungle Pop
Nothing beautiful about a muscovy duck! Peacocks are pretty to look at but they sure are loud! We had an adventure at GS Camp once... The neighbors had peacocks and they started "screaming" in the middle of the night. They woke the girls (all 150 of them), who woke the nurse (me) and the ranger. It was a fun filled evening!
ReplyDeleteI've never seen a pretty muscovey. Even as chicks they're ugly.
ReplyDeleteI've never seen a baby peacock. That is TOO cool. Nice pictures. I expect a formal apology to the ducks.
